In 2020, my husband and I decided to buy a second home in Chatham with the thought that we might eventually move here full time—which we did in June 2023. In 2021, I learned to sail through the adult sailing program at Chatham Yacht Club and discovered the beauty of Pleasant Bay, and in 2023, I was invited to join the Board of Friends of Pleasant Bay.

As a sailor and a Chatham resident, I think it important that we preserve and protect Pleasant Bay so that it continues to be a place of beauty that supports a variety of wildlife and recreational activities. I believe this can best be done through understanding and sharing the history (including human history) and science of the Bay and its environs—activities that have long been supported by the Friends of Pleasant Bay.

I am a graduate of Harvard College and Cornell Law School. I spent most of my career in the legal department of Stanley Black & Decker, Inc., and now work part-time on special projects for publicly traded companies. During 20+ years living in Woodbury, Connecticut, I served on the Charter Revision Commission, the Zoning Commission, the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Planning Commission. I also served on the Boards of Trustees for the Mark Twain House and Museum in Hartford and the Connecticut Opera. In August 2022, I became a member of the Chatham Community Housing Partnership. In September 2023, I joined the Chatham Chorale and in June 2024 I joined the Chatham Chorale Board of Directors.
