In 2019, my stepdaughter, who lives in Chatham, suggested that we come for
First Night. Our experience over that holiday caused us to purchase a second
home in Chatham in May 2020. We sold our Connecticut home and relocated to
Chatham in June 2023.
In 2021 we joined the Chatham Yacht Club. I signed up for adult sailing lessons,
and promptly fell in love with sailing and with Pleasant Bay—to the extent that we
purchased a used Arey’s Pond catboat in the winter of 2021 and I now participate
in races at CYC and PBCB. I also look forward to exploring the Bay with friends
and family as my skill and self confidence increase—sailing around Hog Island
with the CYC sailing class was a wonderful experience that I want to share with
others.
I am a graduate of Harvard College and Cornell Law School. I spent most of my
career in the legal department of Stanley Black & Decker, Inc., and now work
part-time on special projects for publicly traded companies. During my 20+ years
in Woodbury, Connecticut, I served on the Charter Revision Commission, the
Zoning Commission, the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Planning Commission.
I also served on the Boards of Trustees for the Mark Twain House and Museum
in Hartford and the Connecticut Opera. In August 2022, I became a member of
the Chatham Community Housing Partnership. I look forward to employing my
skills to help support the mission of the Friends of Pleasant Bay.
